  2. KingBonacci says:

Also, who taught you to measure a step like that? Totally wrong, I’ve run into installers like this in my days and the work they do is crappy.

  3. oldmoonshiner says:

I’ve put down a lot of carpet on stairs and I’ve never had it come undone.I guess knowing what you’re doing has something to do with that.

  4. KingBonacci says:

Theres is absolutely no need to install each step seperately. That is a serious waste of time and ALOT more work as you will need to trim off excess from each step, fuck that. Whoever taught you that is WRONG. I’ve installed hundreds upon hundreds of stairs including some very wealthy homes and famous people here in new england and the carpet DOES NOT fall off after a year lol, what a tool.

Jesus, why are all the people commenting on this video a bunch of douchebags? You don’t like it? How about fucking off? The guy is just trying to make a decent how-to video. You think you know better? Then say so without sounding like a junior high schooler that just learned to swear.

  6. krojek says:

So wrong, the only time i install steps individually is when im doing tailored(upholstered)steps. These look like theyre waterfall so doing 4-5 steps at a time is the way to go.If anyone is watching this video for tips on how to do stairs you can contact me and Ill tell you the right way to do it.

  7. LocalDogRescue says:

For those suggesting you run one long run, should a tear, stain etc occur on the steps you have to replace the entire run. If you do individual stairs and an accident happens you only have to replace that one step.

  23. charlietaylor87 says:

you start from the top you twat. work your way down. all i use is a bolster a hammer is for pussys. you need a strong arm. just make sure you pull the carpet tight over the riser not like these carpet right fitters that are shit.

  24. Danezuko says:

What a Terrence Wat, bet they would fall off in a draft!

  25. luxiguy says:

You start from the top, using a carpet bolster and hammer you bolster the carpet securely into the grip, tucking down the edges, repeat till you get to the bottom. Bottom step is either cut net or turned under itself to enable the stair carpet to be ‘moved’ in future for wear, depending whether its worth it or not.
